Welcome to Battersea Smiles
Battersea Smiles was opened in July 2009 in Lodnon and offers dental care for both adults and children under the NHS. The practice also offers private care for those who wish. The original practice was opened with five surgeries however as the demand has grown so has the practice and it now has eight surgeries. The practice offers a full range of preventive and cosmetic dentistry and seeks to support the NHS in ongoing work to improve Oral Health in the local area.
Relax in a friendly and quality driven NHS dental surgery with bright and open space for children and adults. Our concern is with the Oral health of our patients and our goal is to provide the best service to give people a confident smile.
Orthodontic Care now available.
Both children and adults can suffer from orthodontic problems, such as too many or not enough teeth, small mouth, misaligned jaw and a common problem with children is protruding teeth due to thumb or dummy sucking.
Children with mild to moderate orthodontic concerns can be treated at Cove Dental Care using a fixed metal brace system. The braces are fixed to the front of the teeth and work by moving the teeth and then holding them in the correct position over a period of time.
It is important that any sign of misaligned teeth, an overcrowded jaw or gaps between the teeth are treated sooner rather than later in order to prevent long term problems.
The majority of orthodontics is carried out on teenagers, but increasing numbers of adults are also opting for orthodontic treatment too. Adults can benefit from wearing a brace which corrects any misalignment, improves the appearance of the teeth and acts as a boost to one’s confidence and self-esteem.
We promise a dynamic team, excellent customer service, clinical excellence and high quality care. We work on the Art of your Smile.
The practice is open and dentists are available by appointment at the following times:
Your smile requires regular and consistent maintenance. Preventive care is an integral part of your dental health program. Good oral health is increasingly recognised as important to the body as a whole, not just the mouth.
We can offer dietary advice, and will also review your oral hygiene progress and monitor gingival health. We also offer mouth cancer screening which is vital as early detection hugely increases the chances of survival.
White Fillings
If you have unsightly ‘black/silver’ amalgam fillings, these can now be replaced with white fillings. They are long-lasting, natural-looking, and very strong. They are also the ideal option if you are at all worried about the potential risks of mercury.
Crowns
A crown is an artificial cover used to replace missing portions of teeth. The crown ‘caps’ a tooth in order to restore or improve the shape, size and appearance of the tooth.
Crowns are increasingly used in cosmetic dentistry where there may be used to cover badly shaped or discoloured teeth.
We recommend regular dental examinations to assess the health of your teeth and gums as well as regular visits to the hygienist.
They can also advise on cleaning techniques to achieve and maintain good oral hygiene.
Bridges
Bridges can be best described as mountings for artificial teeth that are attached at one or both ends to natural teeth. They can be used to replace one or more teeth. When missing teeth are replaced with a bridge, the adjacent teeth require crowns in order to support the replacement teeth.
Veneers
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain shaped to fit over your teeth thus covering any imperfections and delivering a ‘perfect smile’. They come in many shades and are very long-lasting.
Our clinic offers diverse treatments for the body and skin such as dermal injection, line and wrinkle removal, skin boosters, lip enhancement, excessive sweating treatments and more. Visit the clinic for consultations and best treatments.
